Happy Nerd Pride day!
May 25th is the Nerd Pride day. If you’re a nerd (if you like games, mangas, animes, RPGs or just to study a lot), reblog this post and be happy.
Updated Wii U controller shows analog sticks and more
The image above comes from a QA tester over at Traveler’s Tales Games, who posted the image above to his Twitter account.
While not an extreme makeover, it does show quite a few new things. Most significant is the addition of analog sticks that have been substituted for circle pads – a much welcomed change. The layout of some buttons have been shifted around as well.
What do you think? Do you prefer the (slightly) new design?
Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Retro Studios Preparing Star Fox for Nintendo Wii U
According to sources, Retro Studios is working on Star Fox for Wii U. Retro Studios is based in Austin, Texas. Retro’s work impressed Nintendo producer Shigeru Miyamoto so much that he suggested them to create a new game in the Metroid series. In 2002, Retro Studios was purchased by Nintendo.
Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth coming to Nintendo Wii U
“The idea that we’re making a motion-control version of `The Avengers’ is a unique proposition if you compare that to superhero games of the past. This is the perfect type of game for that because these characters are very action oriented. They’re always fighting and throwing things.” said Tony Key, Ubisoft’s VP of sales and marketing.
The big-screen adaptation of “The Avengers” starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye has smashed box office records, earning $207.4 million domestically in its opening weekend.
“For us, that obviously raises the Avengers brand itself to an even higher level, and that’s good for our video game because we have an opportunity to reach a broader audience than just the guys who love comic book characters.” said Tony Key
Patent shows off Wii U Zapper

A patent has been uncovered via Engadget that shows the Wii U Zapper that was featured in the Wii U unveiling video at last years E3. We should see the final form of both the Wii U Zapper and the Wii U console at E3 which takes place in LA next month.
If you look closer, you’ll notice there isn’t a Wii Remote and that isn’t a Nunchuck. The Zapper is the system itself - that Nunchuck is fixed on it and it works by plugging it on the Wii U controller.

NES, the shoulder bag. Have you ever wanted to be the guy carrying a notebook around in a hollowed out NES, with velvet glued to the inside and big lunch box clasps? And a little NES controller card case to go with it?
I’d kinda want to get one of these to carry a third-party Famiclone in. Just because.
